In order to ensure the safety and well-being of our community members as well as our staff and the animals in our care, we have decided to close to the public until further notice, effective immediately. Our staff will still be here to care for our animals and, as always, we are practicing strict cleaning protocols throughout the facility. Rest assured that we are caring for the animals and each other to the best of our abilities.
You can still support the shelter and our animals:
Now is the perfect time to foster a dog or cat. We would love to send many of our animals out to homes where they will be comfortable and loved. Please call us at 873-2430 to make an appointment for fostering.
We will continue to accept surrenders, but we ask that you only do so in case of emergency. We are happy to schedule your surrender. We just want to ensure there is space and enough resources for urgent situations.
If you find a stray animal, please contact your local Animal Control Officer. You can find a list here.
We are asking that all volunteers suspend visits to the shelter for the time being. We appreciate your support, but we would like to limit traffic within the facility.
Pet Food Pantry
We have a limited pet food pantry with dry cat and dog food and cat litter. Please stop by the shelter from 10:00–2:00 Monday–Saturday if you need anything. We will provide what we can. We encourage you to check with your neighbors or loved ones who might not be able to get out to our facility.
Doggy Day Trips & Slumber Pups
We are continuing both programs as we feel it is extremely beneficial to the dogs in our care.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding. We will do our best to support those in need during this time, and we encourage everyone to support each other as well.
