Libby was treated to a Doggy Day Trip and ice cream! 🍦

“We had a delightful time taking out Miss Libby on a doggy day trip! She was all wags and kisses from the moment that we were introduced. She was great in the car and quiet. She seemed to know the word "treat" and "sit" and the connection between the two. Yet she took the treats so gently out of my hand. She is strong and enthusiastic, but hey, you can't blame her. She'll just need a little leash work. And when we all went to Gifford's Ice Cream for ice cream, I didn't need to worry about her being protective of hers when I reached down to right it when it tipped over. She isn't suited to a home with cats, but we sincerely hope that this sweet gal finds her forever home soon!”

April is National Volunteer Month and we’ll be celebrating our awesome volunteers all month long!

Foster Spotlight - Lizzie

“I love fostering because I love to help everyone. Fostering not only helps animals it also helps people. Helping people and animals gives me a sense of purpose. I've nursed a sick cat back to health, I've given puppies a fun and safe place to wait out their quarantines after coming up from the South and I've given cats a temporary home while they waited to go back to their owners. Because I fostered all those animals not only did they have a chance at a better life but I was able to help the staff at the shelter and they were in turn able to help even more animals.”
